I replaced one of our Honeywell 9850 thermostats to gain access to two different rooms (Master Bedroom; Great Room). Easy installation of hardware, and sync with remote room sensor. From there on, all downhill. Works on a separate application from other Honeywell Thermostats. So stuck with two apps (one for upstairs, one for downstairs.). App loaded, but could not sync with thermostat. Honeywell claims it works with 5ghz - not so if you search the internet. Fired up old router with 2.4 ghz, and finally got the app sync'd. (that took 2 days; sent Honeywell an email, nothing than and automated response "we will get back to you in 24 hours) never reply. Called support, and they told me it should work and the problem must be mine. Finally got it working. Interface on application and thermostat is very poor. Frustrated both my wife and I. So - I took it out, reinstalled the 9850 and all is working again. This product is far worse than Nest or Ecobee.
