Let me start by saying I was SO excited to try this. I wanted it to work, I needed it to work, but I was left disappointed and in pain. After seeing the adorable commercial, I used a gift card to buy this $16 deodorant. I do NOT have sensitive skin by the way. My skin does not regularly need lotion, or ointment of any kind. Very low maintenance in that area and never had a problem with skin care items or deodorant before. So first off, I just started a new waitressing job and decided to put this deodorant to the test. I applied slightly more than the amount they recommended, about two pea sized amounts for each armpit, and realized the smell Juniper Leave actually smelled like dirty socks, which was discouraging but honestly my perfume would cover up the faint smell of the deodorant so I wasn’t concerned. Halfway through my shift (it wasn’t even super busy) and I could smell my BO. I never really smelled myself without deodorant before, but man, I reeked. And I knew it. What sucked even more was I had to finish my shift, and I was wearing my brand new $45 company sports bar shirt. Just my luck. Anyways, long story short I went home, showered, and decided to keep giving it a try with different amounts. I wanted my damn $16 worth!! Each day, I added more product, and I wouldn’t even make it through the halfway point without KNOWING that I had body odor coming from my pits. It was embarrassing but I made it through. About day 4 or 5, I realized how ITCHY my armpits were. And then a rash appeared. (I did not itch, yet there was still intense chaffing and red splotches.) I had no other new personal care routine added other than Lume, I shaved as usual, bathed as usual, and went to work as usual. (Would also like to add, the smell was not from the shirt. When I took my shirt off at home it was definitely straight from my armpits.) Eventually I gave up maybe a week into it, and bought another work shirt and regular deodorant. I could not get the smell of sweat out of the armpit areas of an expensive SPORTS shirt. I still have more than half a bottle, what a waste. I wish it had worked and I could post a raving review, but unfortunately It was a waste of money!
