I don't get the 5 star reviews. If you can see in the picture, there is a sleeve around the post that goes into the speaker. It's the part that compresses to hold it into the speaker post. It is very loose on the banana plug shaft itself. When You put them into the speaker the sleeve is wonderfully snug in there. The rest of the banana plug moves around and loses connection with the sleeve. I'm sure not many people notice because the speaker wire will weigh down the banana plug and make an ok connection. But if you want a secure connection or are delivering high current you should look elsewhere. The rest of the design is great. Love it other than what I mentioned above. These are barely adequate for the masses. If you are looking for a secure, tight and high quality connection, these are not it. EDIT: So I returned these and ordered the Sewell plugs that these are obviously modeled after. The Sewell's also have the loose sleeve, but when you insert them into the speaker posts they clamp snugly around the banana plug post. Spend the extra couple bucks on the Sewell.
