★★☆☆☆
Great while it worked, but cheaply made and no help from Joy when it breaks.
I really like the idea of this watch, and my daughter was just starting to really “get” how to use it and do what it reminds her to do... And then, it broke. The band fell apart in less than 2 months, the screen was scratched after the first week to the point you can barely read it, and the charger stopped working. Joy offers a “limited warranty” of 30 days. Here are the complaints from my original review on this product (back when the watch was still usable): - It feels very cheap. The plastic band and buckle don’t seem like they will last long. For the cost of this watch, I expect something more durable. - The button is hard to push, even for an adult. My 5 year old has a hard time pushing it. - It comes pre-programmed with a whole day’s routine, none of which matches what we want to use it for. It was time consuming to remove everything. - It takes a lot of time to program. I would love a “copy this task” feature. We are using it for potty training, so we have multiple instances of the same task throughout the day. - You can only sync it by either pushing the button or putting the watch on the base. I was hoping we could add/remove tasks “on the fly” without her knowing, but that isn’t as easy as I hoped. Bottom line is that I feel completely duped. All the company needs to do is provide a screen protector (HELLO, these are little kids using these products!) and a more durable watch band option. They say you can replace it with “any standard 15mm watch band” - but I cannot find any watch bands that size! Standards are 14mm or 16mm.
