Update 2018: Ironmaster support went above and beyond and replaced the dumbbell and pin. I will say the guy I worked with was very eager to fix the issue for me and was very proactive about doing so. To this day I still don't know what the cause was, but I continue to use the dumbbells (replacement) so even with the failure I believe they have one of the best adjustable dumbbells out there. I left the review 1-star so the video can be seen as it would be lost in the sheer amount of 5-star reviews. Just a reminder to all those out there, make sure you read the tips/instructions, always lock outside of 10 and 2 position, and take your time, at least when you have these in a dangerous position. ------ I have had my Ironmaster Quick-Lock 75lb system for just over a year now. I have rubber mats and take care of the dumbbells. Up until yesterday I had never had an issue and like many of the other reviews here believed in these 100% and even recommended to my friends. Yesterday, I was doing bench 75lbs and had these fail mid lift (on my security video). I work out with my wife and she helps me load the weights, but I always double check the pins before lifting the full amount. Anyone who claims user error-- it is not, I obviously don't want to crush my head with plates and make sure each and every time I'm lifting the max amount that everything is secure. In the full video I even go back and check to ensure. To prove it even more I keep a jar grip to make sure I tighten the pins as tight as possible even when sweating as you can see in the video as well. I reached out to Ironmaster and am awaiting a response. My personal believe is that the sweat/moisture from working out in my FL garage got onto the pins and the small amount of threads that grip with 75lbs loaded easily came un-done... or I have a faulty or damaged pin. I realize I may get flamed, user error, etc... but in any case, I believe I'm an average user of this product and probably take more time than most when switching out plates... and these failed me. My stars have gone from 5 to 1. I will update when I receive a response back.
