I bought this hitch about 2 years ago. I loved this hitch, until I didn't. I have a 40 ft fifth wheel rv and the GVWR is just under 16,000 pounds. This hitch is said to be rated at 24,000 pounds. IT'S NOT. I was traveling on the interstate traffic was heavy so I was only doing about 40 mph when I had to come to a hard stop. When I did I heard a loud bang and a jolt thought someone had hit me. I pull off the road to find that the ANDERSON HITCH had FAILED. After this had happened I had my trailer weight and it came in at 13,202 with cargo. I reached out to Anderson, which took several phone calls. There reply to me was that the hitch could fail with sudden stops. They sent me a check for only 525.00 when i paid over 700.00 I am so lucky that we were not hurt or any damage was done to my truck. I hope people read this review and understand that this product is not safe in my opinion. Remember there claim is 24,000 pounds and I was only 13,202 pounds just half the weight they claim this hitch can carry. RJM
