Works, but better is available for less money
I made the mistake of using Holloway Houses Quick Sine on laminate floors last year. Over time, they've collected dirt, scratches, and darkened to the point of looking as if they needed replacement. It needed to go and stripping it turned out to be quite the process. The following are my thoughts on this product, and the process I used to strip these floors of Quick Shine.
This product works OK at removing Quick Shine, especially in areas where it was not very thick. I had to use the Deep Cleaner liquid unmixed, apply it very liberally, and let it sit for several minutes. I found a paint scrapper was adequate at this point to remove the finish. In most areas, this process had to be repeated multiple times. Diluting the product with water also usually added several more tries. Several bottles are probably likely for large areas.
It turns the Quick Shine layer into a nasty greyish glue. This must be cleaned up before drying again (wet vac does well). Then be sure to wipe down the area with clean water and a sponge to ensure you have removed all the previous residue. Otherwise, you'll be doing the process again. When that greyish byproduct dries it might as well be concrete.
Why only 2 stars? It works (not overly well) but takes forever to use. It is by no means a quick way to remove Quick Shine. Secondly, there are better products out there for a fraction of the cost. The best product I found was ammonia (used the same as stated above). It worked much for effectively, though the smell was less than ideal. A product nearly identical to this (same active ingredients, scent, etc... it is nearly identical) that worked just as well was Zeps Floor Stripper (used undiluted). This product is also around $10 for over a gallon of product, making it far more economical.
Before and after photos are attached. The dark areas are what Quick Shine was responsible for. Light areas were cleaned by Deep Cleaner and Ammonia. This is very early in on the process.
