I purchased this scale on May 23, 2015. It worked great for a while although, the first weighing always seemed to be inaccurate. It also goes through batteries like water only with it only being used one or two times a day. One morning, a couple of weeks ago, I stepped on the scale as I always do before I start my day and absolutely nothing shows up on the scale. Not even a "LO" warning that I would usually get when the batteries were low. So I went and got some fresh batteries, and put them in the scale. I try again...still NOTHING. I double check the batteries to make sure I put them in right, and I try again...NOTHING. After less than six months this scale is completely dead. This is completely unacceptable. The good thing is I only wasted twenty dollars on this.. The ironic thing is that if you turn the scale over it says it was assembled under "strict quality control" Is this some kind of sick joke? I see a lot of good reviews for this scale which is the reason I bought it in the first place, but I also see a good number of bad reviews echoing my complaint about it dying so soon. I am not familiar with "BalanceFrom" which is the company that makes this scale, but based on this experience, I will never buy anything from them again. You may get lucky and get one that isn't a dud, but there are better companies out there that truly care about quality control. In my case, I threw this scale in the garbage and I assume its now in a landfill somewhere which is exactly where it belongs.
