When I opened the package there was a strong chemical smell. I figured it would go away in a couple of days however it never did. My kept telling me she thought she smelled burning electrical wires. It turned out the plastic never lost that awful pungent odor. I am not sure where this is made... but the quality control is suspect. I would not let my baby get near it.
