★☆☆☆☆
DRM issues aside, it is a bad game
If you ignore the well documented problems such as DRM, constant online connection requirement (No thank you cloud, I already have a wonderful device on which to save my game - it's called a hard drive), or the poorly implemented Origin distribution system, the game is still awful. With the inability to customize regions, the game feels like a significant downgrade. A major joy and challenge of SimCity 4 was the ability to build and customize your own regions any way you liked. SimCity 5 or 2013 doesn't give you the same freedoms, but developers hint that such features may be available in future expansion packs. Why pay extra for a feature that used to be included in the original sale?? The city sizes are also very small. It is impossible to build large cities as you could in SimCity 4. Again, this seems like a significant downgrade. Yes, the graphics look nice, but honestly, that is the only good thing I can say about this game. I was very dissapointed with it and returned it for a full refund.
