This bag is definitely not fireproof. Before putting our important documents in, I decided to test it with a paper towel. Put the towel in, put the bag on the stove for 20 secs or so. Smoke started coming from the bag and you can see in the photos how the paper towel burned. You can also see how he bag got singed. This all happened in 20 seconds. Then I decided to test if it is water resistant. It is water resistant if you keep the flap closed. If you pour water directly over the zipper, then water goes right in the bag. See the wet paper towel in the photos. I will try to return this as the product is absolutely not what was advertised.
