It really just isn't worth it. I had to play with it for a long time and ended up just hand chopping up my veggies. I did eventually get some "noodles" but it took way too much effort and only worked on the really big pieces of squash. I could see how it might work best for cucumbers. (Really, I can only see it working for cucumbers). It needs to be round like that. Butternut squash didn't work well at all. It seems like carrots would have to be pretty large to work. I should have just bought a chopper instead. It seems durable... just isn't very useful.
