I don't usually leave negative reviews for products, but I want people to know what we experienced before purchasing these plates. Both sizes of plates and the bowls have experienced a great deal of chipping in about a year's use. Additionally, the plates are not microwave safe, as they are very poorly sealed. Water gets into the ceramic and if microwaved, they burn. We had to purchase additional dinnerware for microwaving after having this problem several times. The nail that sealed the coffin for these plates is that because they are poorly sealed, we experienced molding on the bottom of the plates after putting them away after washing (seemingly dry). We will be throwing these plates away and getting something new, which is disappointing after only having them for around a year and owning two sets.
