This blanket is of very solid construction, has easy to use controls and has met all of my expectations. If there is a concern, it might be that when used without a comforter on top during the winter (northern Washington state), heat can escape. Update, August 31, 2020: Noticed that electric blanket was not heating as it once had just last month. Now, at the end of August, it doesn't heat at all. I can pile blankets on top as an insulator, but nothing. It's just a blanket now. Update, September 12, 2020: Still no word from either the manufacturer, Sunbeam, or Amazon. I spent a total of $159+ for this electric blanket. It lasted 6 months. Never washed. Sunbeam warranty is worthless, but as a very long time customer of Amazon, I expected more from them.
