Both the box and the heater itself smell so strongly of chemicals that I am convinced my whole family has cancer after running it intermittently in one room for two days. We originally purchased it for our daughter’s nursery but there is no way I will allow this putrid box of death in an infant’s room. My husband used it in his office in our basement, and the entire house was filled with the smell. It stuck to his clothes and his beard when he left the room. We had hoped that running it for a couple days would burn off the smell. Instead it has burned off our noses.
