I loved this vacuum cleaner for the 13 months that it worked. However, since it quit working in July, I have been trying to get it serviced. With its 2 year warranty, I didn't anticipate any problems. Boy was I wrong! I was given the name and address for a service store that turned out to be out of business. I took my vacuum to another store that supposedly was taking over the service contract, only to find out that they were mired in red tape with Hoover and didn't have the contract "yet." Two months later and two more calls to customer service, and they still don't have a contract and Hoover tells me that I never should have been given a referral to a service center because they no longer fix the stick vacs. I was told that my only option is to retrieve the vacuum from the service store and call Hoover again with the serial number so they can see if they can go to the "next level," although she wouldn't tell me what that next level would be. Every time I have called Hoover, I have waited on hold for a minimum of 45 minutes and I'm now no closer to getting my vacuum fixed than I was in August. In my experience, Hoover is disorganized and their customer service department is overworked and/or incompetent. I will NEVER buy another Hoover product!
