Reread Ready Player One instead
This is a joyless read. The tone is set by a intoxicated father recently divorced, pushing random buttons on the jukebox.
Character dialogue is so terse and hollow, the quest is an undeveloped promise never delivered, climax and resolution are rushed, topical issues are forced and substituted for character development.
A charmless slide into creative bankruptcy.
Congrats Mr. Cline, the worst thing to happen to the world this year is your soulless sequel.
