This was purchased to replace a similar but not as good cheap pool vac I bought a couple of years ago. It works perfectly and does not make the thumping sound of the old vac I had. It does climb the walls all the way up to the water line and it does not spiral around twisting up the hose like the old one did. 100% satisfaction. Update: A few months after I bought it it stopped working. I think the valve or diaphragm in the main unit stops functioning after it runs just a few minutes. No where I see to contact the seller so I have to change my review from 5 star to 1.
