This in theory is a great idea however, the instructions are very limited and after spending a long time resetting my router (which caused me to have to reconnect every smart home product I have) to get this thing connected to my network I then come to find out it will not control my Craftsman Garage door opener because it is enabled with Security+ 2.0 . The only way to get this to work is to open up a spare remote and solder the wires to the circuit board. My issue is that it would be simple to put that information somewhere upfront that this device will NOT work with Security+ 2.0 enabled openers. I had done a fair amount of research and read a lot of reviews before I purchased this and it was not until I was deep into the installation and dug into the issues Forums was I able to find out that it will not work with my opener. I spent a lot of time trying to get this to work just to find out it will not. Again, the product I am sure is fine but it needs to be more apparent to purchasers what the incompatibility issues might be upfront. Again if you have an opener with Security+ 2.0 this will not work unless you want to open a remote and solder the connection to the circuit board. The easiest way to know if your opener has Security+ 2.0 is if the "Program" button on the opener (the one you push to program a new remote) is a "Yellow" button. If you have a yellow button this will not work unless you want to do the soldering work around. I hope this helps someone before they go through the whole process I went through.
