GARBAGE - SEE MY ALTERNATIVE SUGGESTIONS
A company that makes RODI units for fish tanks should know that just using a DI filter is not enough to remove all TDS from water and maintain a flow rate capable of drenching a car. I should have know this too. Adding an ro filter will not provide enough pressure to spray a car, so this device is simply a way to consume DI resin with "spotty" results while wasting your time and money. Here are 2 solutions as I see it. 1. Get a true RODI filter unit and have it fill a 55 gal plastic drum with an auto shut off valve. Then use a pump, hose and nozzle to spray your car with true RODI water. Let it fill back up ready for the next wash. Depending on the filter setup it could take 48 hours to get 55 gallons of RODI water and you will burn through filters. Or... 2. Wash your car, and use Meguires (or equivalent) hybrid ceramic wax to finish the wash. This creates a hydrophobic coating where water easily sheds off of the surface just like rainx. Using just plain hose water is fine. Then, for the final step us an electric leaf blower to blow the water off your car. Be careful not to fry yourself by letting the cord sit in a puddle of water (battery blower is best). It works very quickly and effectively. You will remove 99% of the water. Use a drying cloth, chamois, or microfiber to get the remaining water off, and boom! You have a completely spot free car finish and you don't have any expensive consumables to replace. Hope this helps my fellow car enthusiasts!!!
