Disappointed by the swimming feature and band quality
I originally had the Fitbit Flex 1 and when I found out that this tracker would be able to track swimming, I immediately wanted one. The downside, however, is that it only tracks when your arms are continuously moving. So kicking with a kickboard or swimming at a slower pace doesn't get tracked accurately. I usually alternate between kicking and different strokes, so at the end of my usual workout of swimming a mile (~70 laps), the Fitbit had only tracked that I did 50 laps. At this point, I don't even bother looking at the laps that it tracks. The only nice thing about it is that I can wear it while swimming.
For the band, I really like the slimmer size. But I ordered the lavendar color, and I already have a lot of discoloration. The edges are now darker and while the inside seems to have faded. For the nearly $100 price tag, I would have expected a lot more. This is pretty disappointing. I have added photos that compares the band I have been wearing for ~2 months to the larger band that I haven't worn at all. You can see the discoloration and how much dirtier/darker the band has become.
