Before downloading this app, it requires permission to access your entire contact database, bookmarks, and browser history. Why would a simple barcode reader need to access all of the personal information in my phone? The answer is that there is NO *good* reason - it's simply not necessary. It's not worth the risk (in my opinion) to make so much personal information public to strangers just to be able to read a barcode. There are other free barcode readers available that don't require that level of invasion into my personal life. I chose to use one of them.
