Unfortunately I never got to attempt to use this device. The required app required to setup the device in addition to your home WIFI password, requires FULL permissions to all of the data and functions on your smartphone. Why these companies continue to think we will give them access to our contacts, photos and images, emails, call history, just to operate a wireless home device is nuts. I for one have had it. A $23 infared blaster does not need access to my personal data to function. This garbage is going right back to Amazon. Buyer Beware.
