I originally gave this product 5 stars because it worked great. It's served me well through two smoky summers, and it was invaluable for those However, Coway's quality control on their replacement air filters has taken a nosedive since then, and now there's a good chance that if you buy one you're going to get a dud that releases noxious fumes. Seriously, take a look at the reviews. The worst part is there isn't any viable alternative as far as I can tell. The non-OEM options are all either completely sketch (no HEPA label) or simply don't fit. An air filter that does more harm than good is a comically bad product. Coway had one job and they screwed it up.
