This tool actually made my problem worse. My slow draining sink became completely clogged after using this apparatus. I even used 4 of the five disposable bottle brush like rods. Although, they did indeed bring up some of the hair, they pushed more of it into a more solid clog. I have had great success using barbed drain cleaners in the past, as the barbs point up, so they don’t push matter into the drain without pulling it all back up. I was sold on the good reviews for this gadget and liked the idea of not having to clean the bacteria-laden hair off after each use. But I will go back to using the barbed-style sink drain cleaners going forward.
