Don't rely on the tray. On a perfectly stable surface, the molds DO stand up in the tray, but they can pop out and leak as your transfer them to the freezer. Also, the footprint and height of the tray takes up a lot of space in the freezer. If you do get these, the molds themselves work fine, but I recommend transferring them out of the tray once they are frozen and storing them more safely in the freezer. On several occasions, I have jostled the popsicles reaching for something else and knocked one or more out - causing the plastic molds to shatter. You can still eat the popsicle, but obviously it can't be refilled. I am down to just 3 molds left now. (I am probably clumsier than most people!) I won't be replacing them, though. I got the Easy Pack 8pc Posicle Maker, which I prefer. My daughter is still a toddler, and those are also easier for her to hold and get in her mouth. I hope this is helpful :).
