Beautiful faucet with huge design flaw
I did a TON of research before purchasing this faucet. We received it and installed it ourselves, which was really easy. The instructions are very clear (no more difficult than putting together Lego). Removing our old faucet was a little tricky, but that's something that depends on your current setup.
The problem we discovered was the the nozzle has a rotating ball joint that seems handy, but is actually completely unnecessary because the hose allows the nozzle a full range of motion anyway. The real problem with this ball joint is that it allows the nozzle to sit unevenly against the spout when it retracts. The "Reflex" system is just a regular weight on the hose underneath the sink, and it's not really heavy enough to retract the nozzle that much.
We actually didn't mind much that the nozzle wasn't flush against the spout. Because there's a black washer between the spout and the nozzle, you can see a little bit of steel underneath which makes it more obvious, but we didn't care. However, when we turned on the water, the added tension of the hose made the nozzle hang even more lopsidedly.
If you're wondering if we followed the directions, we did. If you're wondering if we didn't have enough space for the hose under the sink or if the weight was position correctly, trust me: it was all exactly according to the instructions.
I actually confirmed that we had installed the faucet properly when I saw another Amazon reviewer's photos proudly showing off their faucet with the SAME PROBLEM we had. I guess they didn't mind.
Even without the problem with the nozzle, though, the black washers in between the pieces of the faucet are unsightly. I like near-seamless styles better.
