Beware fragrance allergic & chemically sensitive people. I've sent the below complaint to Amazon customer service. This product doesn't qualify for a return. Pure Organic Ingredients baking soda complaint: This first order arrived today, and I'm requesting a refund because this bucket of baking soda is so extremely fragrance contaminated, not only the outside of the pail but the baking soda inside the pail is! We are fragrance allergic and chemically sensitive. I am anaphylactic allergic to fragrance, meaning it causes severe allergic reactions and makes my airway close. I never would have imagined that the fragrance on the outside of a plastic pail would get into the inside and onto the contents! I've complained to Amazon in the past multiple times about products becoming contaminated with fragrance because they're stored in areas where such things as perfumes, colognes, laundry products and other scented items are stored. Baking soda is used for food and shouldn't be stored anywhere in the vicinity of where fragrance or chemical products are stored, located or used! Such toxic, fragrant products should be stored in a separate facility or at the very least far away from food and other products that should be fragrance free, and there are many of us who are fragrance allergic and/or chemically sensitive and are sickened by this practice. This baking soda is so very fragrance contaminated that my husband, who's less sensitive than me, had an allergic reaction opening it in our garage. If he were to even bring this into the house, it would cause me to go into anaphylaxis and need at least one EpiPen if not more. Therefore, I am asking you to please refund my money and escalate my complaint so that Amazon will take it into consideration and work on fixing this problem for loyal customers like me. Also, I shipped this same baking soda to my friend, who is also chemically sensitive and fragrance allergic, can you please stop the shipment? I sent it to her because I expected this to be a clean, healthy product, but she will react badly to it, as she is also very sensitive and it isn't unsafe for her. I would really appreciate it not being delivered to her and being shipped back to Amazon to avoid putting her health in jeopardy. It's completely unacceptable that baking soda that's permeated and super contaminated with fragrance is being sold by Amazon. This is so bad that it really belongs in the garbage. I can't imagine how anyone could safely eat it and am extremely disappointed with this experience purchasing these.
