I went out no a limb with this flat iron. It got the job done, but not as well as I expected, considering the material it claims to use. The idea of the handle to automatically lock, so the settings aren't changed during use, is a great one. However, it wasn't exactly executed well. While using the iron, I noticed multiple times, that the temperature settings changed, which means the controls could easily be unlocked. On the other hand, when I intentionally tired to unlock the controls, I found it slightly annoying to have to play with it to figure out where I needed to slide my figure and how, to get it to work. My biggest issue with this iron, is that as soon as I plugged it in, it began to heat up. I didn't turn it on, and I even checked to see if it came on by accident, but it clearly said off. And i mean it got HOT, in a matter of moments. I obviously didn't know it was hot, and I went to pick it up, and burned my hand. I give this iron a low score, mainly because it just isn't safe.
