I wish someone had bothered to provide this review when I was buying this system, so here it is: While the physical system installation is relatively easy, I'm returning this system 1 day after installing it. The installation guide fails on many levels, especially when it comes to explaining how to connect it with Alexa. In fact, the installation guide doesn't mention Alexa at all. There is NO app or Alexa access without paying the $24.99 monthly ransom, which seems a bit devious, if not greedy ridiculous. In other words, you can install it yourself, but you can't use your smartphone to do anything with it without paying the ransom. They do offer a $5/month charge so you can see the video recordings from one camera for 30 days, but when you see the poor quality of the 720p camera, why bother? You can't do anything with the video - you can't enlarge it and why would you think a 720p image would get better if you did? It doesn't. Any video surveillance system without a 1080 HD camera is a joke. This one is a joke. As to the recorded videos that are on file for 30 days, you can't delete them from the app. What do they do with these personal videos after 30 days? As to the Alexa functionality, you'll find it online. Somewhere. Good luck!
