A could-have-been-great destroyed by poor writing
Reading this I decided it was a first time effort by an Indie author who couldn't afford an editor. In fact, the reason I (speed read) to the end, after giving up twice, was because of this misconception (and boredom). I really try to cut beginners some slack.
Cardboard characters, really poor dialog and I'd be fascinated to know exactly how many times the word 'beloved' is used.
Don't get me started on the typos and the sex scenes (I don't mind sex but these two are like Duracell bunnies, just less interesting).
Needs a (masochistic) developmental editor.
