I got this in August 2014. Been using it everyday maybe for 1month into the new year until one day it became undetectable. It never left my desk nor never been dropped. The light still comes on but i dont hear or feel anything. It was so quiet before i cant remember if it even made any noise when it was working. I tried it on 2 different macbook pros and 1 PC. None of them detect it in any way. I tried looking for some techs to help retrieve the files but they are all saying its dead since nothing is being detected. So it looks like Im having the same problem as the other 1star givers. DO NOT BUY if you ask me. Like Drago from Rocky IV says, "If he dies, he dies". Im goin to try a couple of Seagate Backup Slims and save a backup to the backup just to be safe. Hopefully Silicon or Amazon can me another to fulfill the 3year warranty. Ill let yall know if they do.
