I purchased these tire stems thinking they would be handy, as they tell you whether your tire needs air by the color of the ring that shows on the stem. Well... my two rear tires were showing in the red, so I go to the gas station to fill the tires with air - & the damn things WOULD NOT COME OFF!!? So I tried a pair of pliers and they wouldn’t budge. With my tires almost flat by now, I barely made it to a tire store. The technician shook his head and said - “these things again”. I asked him what he meant and said “we see these tire caps all the time / because they corrode and fuse to the actual tire stem. So.. $260 later, after having the stems and tire pressure sensors replaced- I drove off... smarter and wiser and TICKED OFF!!!! They will fuse to your tire stem and it’ll cost ‘ya! I’m just sayin’ so YOU can avoid the same mistake. Use regular rubber tire caps and check your tire pressure yourself. It’s not worth the novelty- because you end up not being able to refill your tires!! Trust me... I’m speaking from experience! Good luck Addendum to my previous post: I just want to say that I can understand the positive reviews because they do work at telling you what your tire pressure is BUT they will fuse to your tire stem .
