This should be included with the Kindle. It came separately, with a massive amount of packaging. I had to return it separately, with Amazon charging me $7.00 for the return postage (for an item that probably cost them less than $1). This kind of thing really baffles me, since Amazon is a well-run, classy organization. I have to believe that all of the negativity I see out there about this charger not being included with the Kindle far outweighs the slight cost saving Amazon realized by not including it with the Kindle.
