Arrived Rancid
I wish I had believed the recent reviews about the product being rancid. As soon as I opened the bottle I could tell that the bottle was rancid.
To make sure that I wasn’t missing something I took it to our local olive oil shop where the owner is a certified olive oil sommelier. She immediately agreed that this oil is very rancid and of low quality. And she said I am not the first to bring in a Gundry olive oil recently with this exact problem.
I called the Gundry 800 number on the bottle and the customer service person said that since I bought it through Amazon they are not responsible for the quality but have been getting complaints recently. What? The Amazon account I bought it from is “Gundry MD”. How are they not responsible?
When I try to return it or get a refund from Amazon, it says this product is not eligible for return or refund. It is a dead end.
So what next, am I stuck with paying $49 for 8.5 ounces of rancid oil that I can’t use?
I think maybe someone is using the Gundry brand and has snuck some bad oil in the distribution pipeline selling under his name.
