Was excited to receive this product as I needed a good water change and gravel clean.. received this product today and while it does a decent job at draining the water it fails to do the most important part which is sucking up waste in gravel. The waste and leftover food in the gravel is the most important thing to clean as they can cause ammonia spikes if you're not familiar with the nitrogen cycle look it up. This product is a false hope to someone that doesn't know any better and thinks it's cleaning the gravel it's not. The suction power is lacking. I own a python cleaner but only bought this one for drainage cause for the python to work good the water has to be running but seeing how bad this tera pump is I'll be sticking to my python and returning this product I'm very displeased with my purchase and I will not be buying this brand again. I'll be sure to let my fellow aquarium hobbyist know to avoid this. Edit: the good reviews are more than likely because when you receive this product you get a slip telling you if you give it a good review you will get a larger pump for free so most of these reviews are false buyers beware you've been warned.
