I like this product, but there are some quality issues that I hope the manufacturer addresses. First, the good: the "malty" odor noted by others smells a lot better to me than alternative litter types. WBCL clumps well. I appreciate the fact that it is theoretically "flush-able" and is made of organic material, so it should break down. Odor leakage is kept to a minimum, presuming reasonable litter upkeep. The issues: (1) The shipping bags (which feel like they should withstand a 10 story drop) have once arrived with a major tear in the bag (see pic) and once torn with minor stress to the bag. The tear was likely not helped by lack of supporting packaging during shipping. (2) The DUST.. or more accurately: "sand." The corn-derived material produces a fine powder, which--if not carefully sifted--tracks EVERYWHERE. I have found this residue wherever my cat sits (makes me cringe at what invisible material she tracks around...). I estimate that 10 - 20% of the volume of the litter is "corn sand" (after sifting about 10 cups of litter, there was a pile of it... see pics). I think this would be a lot better if the manufacturer (a)delivered slightly coarser grain and (b)sifted the product before delivery. This wouldn't be an issue if the litter were outside, but it definitely is in my one bedroom apartment. Dear "World's Best Cat Litter": I like your product. I hope you can address the above as this would then be a 5-star product to me.
