UPDATE JUNE 2012: we've lived with this for a year and it's really awful. My original review below is from a year ago, we're shopping for an alternative. ORIGINAL REVIEW JUNE 2011: My wife and I bought two of these last summer because they looked nice, and that's the only good thing I have to say about it; it looks nice, functionally it's abysmal. It's rated for 175ft hose and we're using ours with 100ft hoses. The problem is, the wheels, inside the box on each side of the axel the hose winds around, are way too small, which results in hose jumping off the side and getting pinched/tangled/caught inside the box between the windy-uppy thing and the side of the box. I curse every time I need to water plants or wash the patio. Even winding or unwinding in a super slow and attentive nature still almost always results in scraped up knuckles reaching into the box and trying to get the hose untangled and back on the wheel it's supposed to wrap around. Fail.
