Risky Storage: Low-Speed, Low-Volume, Data Corruption
Please beware of purchasing this product and do not believe the high ratings. I attempted to copy 343GB of data to it over 3 days, and it never completed (I would let it copy overnight and came back to errors in the morning). Many of the files that did actually appear to transfer were corrupt on the flash drive drive. I ended up switching to a more reputable SSD brand and everything copied over in less than 5 hours* with no issues at all. From a storage capacity, it never got anywhere close to the 920GB of "usable" storage. *This USB flash drive does not transfer above 1MB/second at its top speed (it performed at ~275KB/second on average) on a Windows PC with an SSD host. When I first received the unit it kept erroring out during large copies, after which I reformatted it twice. It seemed to work best formatted to NTFS, however, the transfer rate remained extremely slow and it still errored out part of the way through the transfer. Regarding the ratings, it should be noted that buyers are bribed with an additional free 1TB flash drive upon leaving a nice review for the seller. You can only assume most of those reviews came before the buyers actually used the product. Regardless, most of the ratings appear to be a scam. Amazon customer service was as helpful as they were able, however, there is only so much a person can do with a product that fails right out of the box. If you want to avoid data corruption/loss, I strongly advise that you stay away from this product.
