This show is cancer. It's mostly about how Nynaeve is the greatest person to ever live and nothing can stand before her righteous indignation. She can wrestle a 300lb trolloc bare-handed, heal an entire room of dying people without even touching them, outfight a warder, and make Logain tremble in fear with a look. Garbage writing, garbage directing. The Two Rivers is revisioned to look like Seattle, junkies included. No one talks of Manetherin. No one talks about Ta'veren. No Elyas meeting Perrin, Logain hears voices talking to him through the taint. The conspiracy of the reds setting up false dragons is now thrown out the window and his redemption arc with it. Thom Merrilyn is not a gleeman or a bard, just a clever street thug. He doesn't have any of the qualities that made him awesome. Matt seems to act like a junkie, who steals people's jewelry, they gave Perrin a wife who is immediately killed after introducing her. No master Luhhan. The show rushes through everything, Robert Jordan wanted a story that was more realistic about country folk encountering a wizard character with offers of adventure, how they would rather push that person out of the town, instead of that, this show everyone is just going along with it. So much content cut out, so much nonsense inserted, Logain is a central character, the white cloaks focused on way too much a questioner is a central villain, half an episode about a warder being sad about his aes sedai being dead. But all opportunities to flesh out a good story are cast aside. This show is written and directed by post-modernist children.
