I had this camera for 3 days and immediately and deeply regretted the purchase. After using this UNDERWATER camera twice underwater, at a depth of only 2 feet and for only about 2 minutes, the screen went black, and the lens got water in it. It deleted my videos before I could download them, and the videos I took later were blurry due to fog being inside the lens. But hey, no problem, right? After all, I had spent 31 dollars on the “refresh” insurance, so replacement should be a snap! But no, they also require a 29 dollar “replacement fee” for a camera I used twice which you find out when you try and use the insurance you paid for. And then the guy on the service line told me I was getting a “great bargain” by only paying 60 additional dollars for a camera I used twice. When I asked him How having to pay an additional 60 dollars to replace a camera that I used twice and exactly in a manner it was supposed to be used, he said because they can’t fix “water damage,” to an UNDERWATER CAMERA. The replacement camera that they sent also malfunctioned within 5 weeks, and Amazon would not refund or replace the product, and the company wanted more money to replace it again. Just before my first ever trip to Alaska, and now I will need to purchase a brand new camera for that. I ended up purchasing a new battery, a new charger, a card reader, and ultimately none worked because the camera was such a piece of garbage that nothing helped. Amazon was not helpful, they offered me a 25% discount on the original purchase after an hour of negotiating, which didn't include the money I spent on insurance, gas to drive 60 miles to UPS, the SIM card, accessories, the new battery, charger, card reader, etc. so I still ended up spending much more money than I did on the original camera even after the “discount” that Amazon provided. Horrible product, horrible company, and Amazon did not back the customer in this case or try to get me a refund for a terrible product. Never buying from this company again. Buy a GoPro. Slightly more expensive at the outset, but a much better product that DOESN'T LEAK UNDERWATER which is a really good quality to have for an underwater camera.
