I bought this a year ago. As with all salt lamps, it needs to be on for most of the day, every day, to keep the salt dry. It stopped working a few weeks ago, after excavating the bulb it was burnt out, but new bulbs didn't work... so I checked the outlet and the lamp over for something else that could be malfunctioning. Then I noticed a depression on the back of the switch-- like it had melted. So I unscrewed the back and viola: burnt up circuits. I can only say that I (and my neighbors in the building) are extremely fortunate that it didn't start a fire. And horrified that 1. other customers are reporting that the company is not accepting returns 2. that Amazon is still allowing the seller to sell this item.
