This trash can started acting up about 8 months after purchase. We read the manual, tried troubleshooting, etc, then contacted the manufacturer. Their customer service is THE WORST and their website (at the time) was unclear about procedures for returning item for warranty work. They refused the part we sent back and for reasons too lengthy to go into here, we were not aware of this immediately. I contacted the company again (before the warranty ran out) and because I didn't respond to an email they sent by the end of the day, they closed my file and would not consider my request for warranty work BECAUSE IT WAS ONE DAY OUT OF WARRANTY. For this reason alone, I will never purchase another one of their items. Their customer service is the worst ever and in fact they don't care about the customer whatsoever.
