We really loved this at first. It simplifies travel, and is easy to set up. However, it nearly strangled our child to death. There is a strap that goes around the upper back of the chair. This strap requires the parent to thread it through a tension lock each time the seat is used. This is of concern as not every parent understands how to properly thread a tension lock to keep it tight. On the morning of the mishap my wife threaded the seat, put our child in it, and we sat down to breakfast. Our child is fiesty and rocked the strap loose very quickly, then threw his leg over the side of the chair, and hung himself. All of this happened in less than three seconds. He was hung so tight he couldn’t even utter a sound. Fortunately we were sitting with him and rescued him immediately. However, for the busy parent who is going back and forth to the table, trying to fix a meal for the family, or for some other reason cannot be right next to the child, I do not believe this is a good option. Perhaps Cozy Cover has good reasons for using the tension lock. I’d like to see better instructions, or maybe even a YouTube video on proper setup. I honestly hate posting this negative review as this was a great option for us; however, after our toddler’s recent brush with death we had to say something.
