First off I'll start by saying I'm a big fan of the idea of this fan. Pwm with thermostatic control two thumbs up! Pros: Super Quiet! No really, I've heard PC case fans louder. Changes smoothly from speed to speed no vibrations at any point. Moves a fair bit of air unrestricted. Controller is good, it's functional and easy to use. It would be nice to be able to set a minimum speed in smart mode though. Cons: There's really only one big issue with this fan, its got no oomph. Start adding any static pressure and she just snuffs out. Forget about running a carbon filter on it looking at ~33% reduced output with a 4x12 Im also not a huge fan of the plastic clips on the fan housing. Overall I still love this fan, in the end I don't think it's going to work for my needs but hopefully the 6in will. If you want it to move air through some duct work runs quietly and efficiently then this is it. After reaching out to the manufacturer for pressure loss specs and being firmly snubbed I will not be using these items in the future. If you are unwilling to provide the customer with the information needed to make an informed purchase I'll shop somewhere that does. It's not like I asked for trade secrets just performance data.
