I bought my Ego 650 Blower from Amazon last fall, or so I thought. It turns out I purchased from an independent shop on Amazon and didn't realize it. My battery died recently and Ego is refusing to honor the warranty, claiming that they only cover warranty from "authorized retailers". This is an anti-consumer position and Ego is basically asking its customers to manage its supply chain. Frankly, I also think it's not legal for Ego to disclaim the warranty based on which retailer we purchase from and I plan to file a claim against them in court and with our state attorney general. I love the product, but the way Ego treats its customers is abysmal.
