Did i read the same book as everyone else??
Okaaayyy...I dont get all the great reviews this book got?!?!!? This is by far one of the most wasted 2.99 or whatever i paid..it started out ok, chloe wrecked on the side of the road, chase (insert hero) saves the day...ok got it..not even an hour later, He takes her to his brothers guesthouse at the family winery..and into a bedroom where a naked woman (that he intended to sleep with before he met the love of his life, Chloe)..and proceeds to have a conversation with this naked girl and she makes jokes about a threesome?? cmon!!!! ..ok 5 minutes later.. Chloe is masturbating in a bathtub in his brothers guest house and he intrudes on her in the bathroom, and proceeds to watch her?!!? i would freak out if a man i barely knew 5 minutes seen me completely naked and masturbating, but she shrugs it off and begins to joke with him about it?!!? BUT poor, pitiful, scared & timid chloe is so shutdown from her emotions and scared of men bc an ex husband beat her up earlier this day.. ok..less than 24 hours later ...she's "saving the day" by sewing a tear in a dress for a model?...because...(how convenient)..she's an expert quilter that knows everything there is to know about fabric and such!!! (rolls eyes)...and 10 pages later we are still hearing about "Chloe, i heard you saved the day yesterday!!" OMGGGGG!!!!!!!!..anyways....then there are models undressing but oh Mr. Good Guy Chase would NEVER look at the young models breasts ....(was he not planning a one night stand with a girl named Ellen, when he ran accross the most beautiful woman he's ever seen wrecked on the side of the road with a bruise on her face and standing in the "pounding rain"...make up running, hair a mess)..COME OOOONNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then every other page is "where are these feelings coming from?? I cant believe im having these feelings" "My life was nothing until she came along" (...yea 48 hours ago) blah blah blah!!! This was beyond a sappy romance..this was just plain ridiculous!!!!! There was no conversation bw these two, nothing happened to make them fall in love w/each other, there was no conflict they supposedly just fell inlove ...whatever!!! I quit reading about mid ways through bc i just couldnt take the repetiveness of their thoughts..and ridiculous banter! Ugh..well theres my rant :)
