I use this mixer to make bread. Even though I owned a kitchen aid for many years, this was a smaller one therefore I followed the instructions on the amount of flour and the correct speed as indicated in the instruction book that came with the mixer. At first it worked great, but then after four months the bowl suddenly came undone in the middle of kneeding. It was scary. So the next time I used even less flour than was indicated. The same thing happened again. When I called Kitchen Aid Customer Service I was told that the instructions in the book were incorrect and that the total ingredients for my mixer could only be six cups, including liquid and flour. That's incredible! Why didn't they just tell me it was a faulty model. I am very disappointed in Kitchen Aid.
