Coleman no Longer making replacement hinges for this Series
The tent is actually nice; quick and easy to set up, but a little more difficult to take down, which is where we ran into trouble. The first attempt to take it down ended up with one of the hinges folding backwards and breaking. Coleman no longer produces part # 5010000851, which is the hinge piece for this and the other similar tents in the series. After asking about it, they simply removed the part from all of their web pages and pretend like it was never available. Apparently, it was a common enough problem where Coleman thought it would be easier for them to just abandon their customer base than to make enough extra hinges for customers to buy if they didn't have the gist of collapsing the tent correctly after the first time out of the bag. So, be forewarned; you will not get decent support from Coleman about this issue, and they're useless if a hinge break.
Update: 12/2/2014
Since writing this review, we managed to use the tent two more times, securing the broken hinge with some duct tape. Both times was in nice calm weather, so no issues with stability where the broken hinge was, but the misbalance did bend the top spider-support all out of whack, though still usable. On the third use, another hinge broke, and that was the end of any more usefulness we could milk out of it. We've since dismantled it and saved all of the parts, as well as the canvas. We've yet to decide on purchasing another one - we have enough spare parts to get some real use out of another one, since the hinges are easy enough to take on and off, but on the other hand, we now thoroughly detest Coleman for not supporting their products.
