I think this is a 5 star product IF you know what you're getting. I didn't, and want to help others. In short, there isn't a single recipe in this cookbook that we could actually make without purchasing serious cooking supplies (not ingredients, supplies). So, if you are buying this cookbook as a book to read, a coffee table book, a gorgeous book, a book to think about how you might spend your retirement years, you have the right expectations. If you are buying this cookbook to make cocktails with (and you don't have all the necessary hardware required by molecular gastronomy) you will be really, really disappointed. The longer version - We're foodies and whatever the equivalent is for drinks - We're also into great design - We love making cocktails, and this seemed like a fun way to add some new tricks - But we were disappointed -- literally, we couldn't use a single recipe in this book without spending $100+ on equipment - So, it's a gorgeous coffee table book, but not useful to us. - So we returned it I'm mostly hoping to warn people who might buy this as a gift for someone else -- know that that person might be similarly disappointed.
